Our vision is to see Gospel Transformation for Greater Portland

Go Team

We are called to assist those who are under-resourced. The GO Team (Generosity Outreach Team) has been going strong for over 5 years, partnering with local service providers to help individuals and families in the Greater Portland area move toward a situation of betterment. We do this by providing funding for specific needs that the provider and their client have submitted to the team. The team assesses the request based on a set of criteria and available funding. Many have been helped by this program and will continue to be helped because of the loving generosity of those who call Eastpoint their home. This program is intended to help those outside the church and in our community for the Glory of God.

Partnerships

We desire to establish partnerships with local organizations that share our mission of seeing Gospel Transformation in Greater Portland.

The Family Restored

The Family Restored is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with the mission to strengthen and support families affected by addiction. We accomplish this mission by offering family support groups, 12-step workshops, and scholarships to help pay for treatment and recovery housing for those who cannot afford it. The Family Restored’s scholarship program was founded to provide treatment opportunities for those seeking 12-Step based treatment. We partner specifically with treatment facilities and recovery residences that are grounded in the 12-step model of recovery. We understand there are many pathways that meet the diverse needs of those suffering from addiction and fully embrace the freedom for people to choose their own treatment pathway.

Nanna's House

Nanna’s House is an organization aimed to help ease the transition into foster care. We provide supply kits to case workers for children to have what they need for the first few days of care. These kits are specific to the age and needs of the individual child. A kit for an infant includes diapers, wipes, a bottle, formula, clothes, a blanket, a stuffed animal and toiletries for example. These kits allow resource families to focus on the child for the first few days and not have to run to the store for supplies. Nanna’s House is hoping to expand to provide a physical location for DHHS caseworkers to receive these items and a welcoming environment to wait while they are working on placement for the child. In the meantime, we are working hard to build our stock of supplies to make sure every child coming in to care through the Portland office, has what they need.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The vision of FCA is to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes. We use the platform that God has given us as a leader in the sports community to engage many with the gospel. Sports has a way of breaking down so many walls in the life of an athlete. It has a way of fostering relationships at many different levels. Our desire is simply to see Jesus at the center of all that is already so powerful in the world of athletics.

Global

Jesus told us to GO into all the world and make disciples of all nations.  We are currently working on that.  We work with Team Expansion supporting their workers in east and west Africa.  If we were to identify these areas it may prove dangerous for those involved.  We are also partnering with Team Expansion to see a new work begin in northern Europe.  We embrace the DMM (Disciple Making Movement) method of bring the Gospel to the unreached.  This involves much prayer walking in these areas ultimately resulting in house churches that multiply just as seen in the book of Acts. Our hope is not only to partner in these movements but that we might be a sending church to eventually see No Place Left where the Gospel has not been proclaimed.  Our intent is to have a path to follow for those who are feeling called to this great work.  You’ll be hearing more.
