Upward Sports Registration

Our Upward Sports basketball and cheerleading season is just around the corner! Open for children from kindergarten through second grade, this is a great program that allows your child to experience the fun of sports while also learning about Jesus and faith.

Important Dates and Information for Upward Sports League:

All games are held at The Point Community Center at 345 Clarks Pond Parkway in South Portland.

Registration fees are $80 and can be paid online or in person. We will take registrations at the Evaluation Session as long as there are spots available.

Evaluations for basketball and cheering (choose one date): 

Friday, November 2, 2018 from 5:00-8:00

OR

Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 8:00-12:00

The Evaluation Session will be an opportunity to:

Confirm your registration. 

Ask questions you may have about the program.

Find out when you should expect to hear from your coach. 

Get sized for uniforms.

Basketball: Evaluate players on 6 skills

Cheerleaders:  Will meet in a separate room with a cheer station for kids to see what a practice is like.

Uniforms:

Basketball registration includes a uniform top. Players will be responsible for shorts and sneakers.

Cheerleader registration includes a top and skort. Cheerleaders are responsible for sneakers. Cheerleaders have the option to buy a long sleeved mock turtleneck for $15 or they can purchase one on their own. 

Practices:

Practices start on November 30, 2018 from 5:30pm to 8:00pm. Teams will practice for one hour each. We will let you know your practice time after teams have been decided.

Games:

Games start on Saturday, January 5, 2019 from 8:00 to 2:00. Games will be for one hour for each team. We will let you know about game times once teams have been decided. 

Team Photos:

Team photos will be taken on the 2nd game day (January 12, 2019). 

Awards Celebration:

March 23rd at 2:00pm.
